Science Education and Communication

Why choose Science Education and Communication?

This flexible, two-year Master’s programme, will provide you with a solid foundation in the science, theory, and practice of innovative teaching and effective communication in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM). The two tracks offer an interactive, interdisciplinary curriculum that integrates theory, research, and practice.

The Education track prepares you to become a first-grade teacher in physics, mathematics, chemistry, biology, or computing science, combining coursework with internships at high schools.

The Communication track equips you to critically analyse how science and society interact, using theories from history, philosophy, communication and the social sciences. You will learn to form an informed and independent perspective on developments in science, technology, and their impact on society. You will develop your communication skills working on real-life assignments supervised by commissioners and expert guest lecturers.
